The young prodigy John Talan Church is a born dancer. Also popularly referred to as Robert Roldan’s “Mini Me”, John Talan started dancing at an early age of 5 years. Since then, there’s been no stopping him. He has bagged awards and victories in various dancing competitions; he specializes in Jazz. This young Jazz dancer, now 14 years old, is full of passion and determination to reach heights of success with his brimming dancing talent.
At a young age, John Talan flaunts a multitude of dancing achievements. The young jazz dancer’s first brush with fame was in 2016, and when he was placed in the Top 10 finalists on the popular reality competition series called ‘So You Think You Can Dance‘.
Initially, he auditioned as a young jazz dancer and was selected by the famous contemporary dancer Robert Roldan to be on his team. He won the second position in the 13th Season of SYTYCD. When he got the chance to partner with Robert Roldan, he committed to the best of his ability and won everyone’s praise and admiration.
He won the title of the 2016 NUVO Mini Male Breakout Artist of the Year. In 2017, he was named the National Mini Male Best Dancer at the highly revered and prestigious competition The Dance Awards Las Vegas.
With time and his consistent efforts, he won the ‘Dancing With The Stars: Juniors’ competition. His partner was with Sky Brown, and they won under the guidance and mentorship of Alan Bersten. All this was a result of his determination and the support of his parents, who ensured that they provide their child with the best possible foundation in his dancing career.
Even at such a young age, John Talan has proved to be a philanthropist by heart because of his noble initiatives and deeds. He has always shown a keen interest in charitable events.
In 2014, he participated in the event 20th Annual Dancing for a Cure. It’s aim was to help breast cancer patients. Which it indeed did by raising a considerable amount of money for their treatment.
The Global Child Prodigy is the only organization of its kind in the world that recognizes and promotes talents from various countries and backgrounds. The list of GCP awards includes children having extreme competency in their field of interest, such as painting, modeling, writing, entrepreneurship, martial art, music, social work, etc.
John Talan received the Global Child Prodigy award in January 2020 for his outstanding dancing skills. His name made an appearance in the list of the top 100 prodigies of the year.
