5 Ways To Decode Your Child’s Love Language

Every child has a different way of perceiving love. Not every child feels in the same manner. Every parent should know how to communicate love language to their kids. Kids are fond of love, and they always wait for verbal affirmations from their parents. Not only do verbal assurances make them feel love, but they also seek patience and time from their parents.

According to American Author Gary Chapman, “ Nothing works well if a child’s love needs are not met. Only the child who feels genuinely loved and cared for can do her best. You may truly love your child, but unless she feels it—unless you speak the love language that communicates to her your love—she will not feel loved.” Every parent needs to make sure that kid feels love. Your child will feel highly secure and satisfied. An assurance makes everything.

Love Language Has The Power Of Life

There are different kinds of love language, and not every child is fond of the same love language. Apart from verbal affirmations, there are others too. We have enlisted few love languages which help children to be content.

  1. Act Of Kindness

Your child closely monitors your actions. He/ She will feel elated when you will help others, or you are kind to others. They may appreciate your act and may replicate the same.

 2.  Presents and Gifts

You must have seen your child waiting by the main gate for you to come. Imagine your child’s face when he/she will receive a surprise gift or present. Try to bring a present home while coming back from a trip.

 3. Golden Words

Try to use two Golden words i.e., thank you and sorry. These words can steal one’s heart. Be it a kid or a grown-up; these words can help you to sail through any situation.

 4. Physical Touch

Children often need a touch of affirmation. Hugs, cuddles, and snuggles can make your child feel better. Try to sit next to your children and spend quality with them. It will ensure no communication gap between you and your kid.

Speak With Language Of Love

Children do not have any particular language of love; there is no definition either. Parents need to put in extra effort to decode their love language. Here, we have covered different ways to translate your child’s love language.

1.Closely Monitor and Observe Your Child

Keep an eye on your children, observe the way they behave when you bring gifts or when you surprise them with school visits. Observe the manner; they are expressing their love. Are they also very curious to talk? Is hugging and cuddling a way of showing love for them? Every child likes to be pampered and loved. The manner of showing love can differ.

2.Talk About Random Stuff

Give quality time to your child. Do not let any communication gap exist between you and your kid. Talk about habits and values. Observe how they are reacting to a particular action or order. Ask your child for the help and appreciate them.

3.Choices and Preferences

We always choose the best possible option when choices are given to us. The Same goes with kids also. Study the pattern of the choices. You can examine them by providing options like a ride on a bike or a toy. You can study the ways of their preferences.

4.Needs and Wants of Kid

Give special attention to what your child needs and wants. Children are susceptible to particular things or stuff. Consider what is essential for your kid. Every child behaves differently. Not every child is fond of gifts or rides. Some need quality time with their parents.

5.Do not lower your Zeal

At times, your kid will not be able to decode or understand your love language. You need to have patience and try not to be depressed because your child can not understand your love language.

A Child can bloom just like a flower with your love. Your child can grow and bless with beauty if you pour water of love. An expression of love can make your child satisfied and content.
