Vincenzo Bellini was an Italian opera composer with exceptional talent. He was known for his long flowing melody lines. The prodigy Bellini had a short lifetime, though a lot of famous works and also recognition.
Born on November 3 1801, Vincenzo Bellini belongs to a highly musical family. According to a handwritten 12 pages history, at Catania’s Museo Belliniano, Vincenzo started learning music theory at two. Even at the age of three, he began playing the Piano. When he was just five years old, he can play marvellously. Bellini composed his first five pieces at the age of six. According to the document. At seven, he taught modern languages, philosophy and also rhetoric.
Bellini received his first music lessons from her grandmother. He lived along with her grandmother from 1816. Then, very soon starts writing compositions. Bellini had independently completed some additional orchestral pieces by 1818.
He wants to move to Naples for further studies, but his family’s condition does not support him. But later, he got a break when Stefano Notabartolo became the new intendant of the province of Catania. Due to their encouragement, Bellini got a unanimous agreement for a four-year pension in May 1819. It allows him to went to Naples.
In Naples, Bellini did better and better in his studies. Moreover, in January 1820, he passed his theory examination and got a scholarship.
At the age of 24, he wrote his first opera, “Adelson e Salvini” as a graduation note. In the same year, 1925, his first publicly performed work was written and presented at “ Bianca e Gernando”. Moreover, it was a huge success. “ Bianca e Gernando” was based on a play for a royal event.
In February March 1827, Billin got an offer from a famous Italian composer Domenico Barbara. Accepting the offer, Bellini went to Milan. He lived there from 1827 to 1833. Moreover, he wrote some of his famous opera named II Pitara, Bianca e Fernando, La Straniera, etc.
Then, In April 1833, Bellini went to London and lived there till august 1833. There he successfully directed several operas and get appreciation. Moreover, in the middle of August 1833, he went to Paris. On 24 January 1835, I puritani was premiered in Paris. It was Bellini’s last opera.
In ten years, from the age of 24, Bellini composed almost eleven operas. Half of them became a big hit. He has done some other works except the opera also. He made some songs. The collection of his 15 such songs were published after his death. Moreover, his songs published as Composizioni da Camera by Casa Ricordi. His work and also the unique gift of melody impressed many greatest composers. Moreover, he is the owner of exceptional talent. He gets success because of his hard work.
The prodigy died on September 23, 1835. He was just 33 years old, when died.
