Prodigies are indeed “gifted” in some ways or the other. Breaking all the age stereotypes, Arshdeep Singh, a ten-year-old, has scripted history by receiving the most prestigious award Young Wildlife Photographer of The Year– Asia. It was his candid snap of the two owlets peeping out of a waste pipe that strung the title.
Arshdeep belongs to a photographer family and his father, Randeep Singh, is also an enthusiastic photographer. Framing one’s shot was his first lesson when he was just six-year-old. Even his father got stunned when he saw the picture of the owls. The child prodigy further exclaimed that it seems that the two owls were looking straight into my eyes. I felt like each one of them wanted to say to me- I saw you!.
He has already been featured in TOP international photography magazines such as Lonely Planet UK, Germany, and India as well as BBC Wildlife UK, as stated by Hindustan Times.
Arshdeep used to travel a lot with his father. One day when he grabbed his father’s camera and started taking random pictures that convey some type of story to him. Seeing Arshdeep’s effort and his picture sense, his father gifted him with a DSLR camera on his fifth birthday. Since then, the Young Arshdeep started creating history with his camera and finally landed to receive the prestigious Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2018 in the Young Awards Category (10-years and Under).
Global Child Prodigy Awards, the world’s first and only award ceremony solely dedicated to recognising unique and talented children. The list of GCP Awards includes children having extreme competency in their field od interest.
Arshdeep received the GCP Award in 2020 and was among the TOP 100 Prodigies of the year. If you know someone close to you who deserve to be on the Top 100 Prodigies list, make sure to click here.
Arshdeep strongly believes that every parent should support their kids in whatever he/she want to pursue in their life. We just can’t force them to go into the conventional profession. “If you love taking pictures, just get out there and click away. I would request parents to support kids in their passions. You never know your child might be the next wildlife photographer of the year!”, Arshdeep quips.
Thank you! Arshdeep for making our country Proud!
