The well-known ‘Google Boy,’ Kautilya Pandit, had an exclusive interview with Global Child Prodigy under Prodigy Talks. The renowned Entrepreneur, Educationalist, and Humanitarian, Mr. Kavin Kumar Kandasamy, hosted the talk. He is also the Managing Director of Mangalam Educational Institutions. Mr. Kavin’s institutions serve more than 7000 students every year.
Kautilya Pandit shares his success story in this candid chat with us. Tag along as he reveals his secrets to success.
I am 12-years-old, and my full name is Kautilya Pandit. I am from Karnal in Haryana, India, where I have two sisters who are older than me. One is Deeksha, studying in 9th grade and the elder one is Mridul, studying in 11th grade.
“I am not pampered that much at my home. It’s just like a normal kid because my sisters are also good in every field. So, there is nothing like pampering at all.”
Indian media gave me the title of “Google Boy” when I was 5-years-old. This was because I was able to answer all the questions from various fields.
“It’s like a normal feeling now but of course, it feels good. I like more to be called by my pet name which is ‘Kauti‘, the short form of my name.”
Yes, “Space Boy” is another name given to me because I am particularly good at astronomy. I have a perfect knowledge of Astronomy and Astrophysics, and I want to be an Astrophysicist. So, the name was given to me by the media only.
“People are not known by names; they are known by their efforts deeds.”
My role model is the missile man, Mr. APJ. Abdul Kalam. His efforts towards everything influence me the most. Kalam Sir is a perfect example of a good human being, a good teacher, a good learner, a good scientist, and much more. He taught a lot of things to the youth till his last breath.
“About six years ago, I got a great opportunity to have an interaction with Mr. APJ. Abdul Kalam Sir. He gave me a lot of advice as a teacher, as an experienced person, as a scientist and in every way. He told me, “You have to be a continuous learner because it will help you a lot. Always be confident and courageous.” Other than that, he told me various facts and fascinating things that made me more curious. It was a very significant moment in my life.”
From the very beginning, I had a keen interest in Space. When I was too young, I watched some HD videos of Space, and I liked them a lot. I was fascinated by the beautiful pictures of Space, twinkling stars, galaxies, etc. When I was 7, I learned many things about Astronomy and Astrophysics and tried to understand every concept. It was my curiosity, so I went deep into the books and got a thorough Astronomy knowledge.
“Space is the most mysterious, beautiful, and most eternal thing. You can relate everything to the Space and It is the real truth. It’s one of the most undiscovered things and I want to carve out the most hidden parts of Space.”
It is an excellent effort of my family, but, first I showed my interest, and then they supported me. What was different with me is that I had a lot of curiosity that made me learn all these things. My family’s most remarkable thing is that they answered me with every type of question I asked. Some people think that kids can’t understand such things, but my parents never did that. Also, my school, G. D. Goenka School, supports me a lot in all the things.
“My grand-father, J. K. Sharma, helps me a lot in everything I want to do. He gives his views and advice to me. He is a great teacher of Maths and also brilliant in other subjects. Also, my father, and my uncle support me a lot. My father, Satish Sharma, is one of the most motivating people I have ever met.”
My recognition and all the awards I have got are a source of motivation for me. Due to this only, I got the opportunity to meet Mr. APJ. Abdul Kalam, sir, and several more great personalities.
The Psychology Department of Kurukshetra University took my IQ test. My IQ was 134, according to them, and 155 according to German parameters. So, they gave me the title of “Genius Child.” The experience was pretty good.
“There are a lot of extraordinary people in the world who need to be discovered and modified. And, motivation is the necessary thing for modification. So, everyone should keep themselves motivated and confident. People should not keep their talent inside them.”
At 5, I went to the popular show KBC as a guest but not as a contestant. It was a great pleasure to interact with Mr. Amitabh Bacchan, sir. My experience with KBC was marvelous. I want to go again to the show as a participant as I am grown up now. It’s one of my big dreams to participate in KBC as a contestant.

I want to be a part of ISRO because I want to do something for my nation. It is one of the platforms to do so. People are like magicians there as they do everything on significantly less budget. Scientists of ISRO are great, and I want to join them. ISRO is evolving, so India is developing.
“I met Mr. Mylswamy Annadurai, who is also known as ‘Moon Man of India.’ He was the project director of “Chandrayaan-1” and “Mangalyaan-1.” I saw the making of Pragyan Rover and it was an amazing experience for me.“
It is a great honor for me to be the recipient of the Global Child Prodigy Award. I met Kailash Satyarthi Ji, Dr. Kiran Bedi Ji, and many more great personalities who taught us many things. Also, all 100 kids were outstanding in their fields. So, it was just an incredible experience.
“If you have a kid who is very curious, please answer all his/her questions. Don’t give out their curiosity but make their curiosity grow more. It would be really helpful for them to be successful in their life.
Thank You, Kautilya Pandit! It was amazing to talk to you. We hope that you will achieve great success in your life. GCP team wishes you All The Very Best for your future.
