Anthemologist Who Can Sing 260 National Anthems | Yathaarth Murthy

India is home to several prodigies, but some stand out more than others because of their unique talents, such as Yathaarth Murthy, a 14-year-old from Bangalore, Karnataka. Music in itself is such a great talent, can you imagine singing 260 countries’ national anthems? We’re as amused as you are, but this young boy has bigger plans.

Unique is an understatement

An aspiring anthemologist, Yathaarth, wants to explore to bring light to problems in countries that most people did not know existed. He has a goal to bring awareness about culture, traditions, and norms in lesser-known, third world countries.

He recently showed off his fantastic talent during a visit to the San Francisco Chronicle. From the U.S., Sierra Leone, Uganda, and the Solomon Islands to Zimbabwe, Trinidad and Tobago, Vanuatu, and St. Lucia, where Murthy sang English translations of every national anthem from memory, perfectly. A holder of the Limca Book Record, he wants to make mention in the Guinness World Record and feature on The Ellen Degeneres Show.

Global Child Prodigy Awardee

Global Child Prodigy Awards, the world’s first and only award ceremony solely dedicated to recognizing unique and talented children, awarded Yathaarth Murthy in the year 2020. Moreover, he was listed under the Top 100 Prodigies List of 2020! We couldn’t be less proud of our fellow young Indian who has already made his debut into TedX talks.

He says, “Slowly I understood that anthems bring the world to attention. When I sing a national anthem, I feel I am a part of their country, their culture and I can feel the respect and emotion they have for their nation.”
