Reverse Running Record Setter | V Sharvesh

“To uncover your true potential you must first find your own limits and then you have to have the courage to blow past them.” – Picabo Street

Running forward is hard enough for most of us. Can you imagine running reverse? Moreover, setting a record by doing so at the age of seven? Seven-year-old V.Sharvesh will make you wonder what you were doing at his age. His love for sports is so enthralling that we might think about taking a step towards the field.

V Sharvesh

This young prodigy comes with an unparalleled record. With an Indian history of reverse running for 1 km and having participated in 57 Marathon races – he indeed is a young sportsman in the making.

Wondrous Achievements

His achievements are countless and impressive for someone at such a tender age. He ran a 30-minute treadmill to complete a considerable distance of 6.5 kilometers, going with a speed of 13 km/hr. He is also the winner of the state-level competition named SRI DHARSHINI KALAIKOODAM AWARD, 2017.

Young Sports Star’s Journey: V. Sharvesh

When V.Sharvesh was a tiny tot in Upper KG, his journey began. He was presented with an opportunity for a Kidathon in Cuddalore, India. He participated and won the third position. But this attracted the attention of his parents because he was competing with children all aged above him.

His fascination with sports initially was sparked by listening to his father, S. Vishu, telling stories about famous athletes. He had heard Usain Bolt, his struggles, and how he overcame all deterrents to transform into a successful sportsperson. Usain Bolt hugely inspired him, and since he has never looked back.

Looking at the journey of V.Sharvesh inspires us all to turn our dreams into reality.
