Shanarinha Evans: A Young Voice Using Music to Heal the Planet

SHANARIHA EVANS

Shanariha Suzan Evans is a voice for change, blending her musical talent with a powerful mission for the planet. From the early age of four, her voice carried more than melody—it carried purpose, drawing people into conversations on climate, culture, and community.

Shanariha’s journey began in kindergarten, where her voice stood out so strongly that it led her to national competitions in music festivals. When schools closed during the pandemic, instead of pausing, her journey soared—she enrolled in music school, where her talent was quickly recognized. At just eight years old, she recorded her first single, “Dream Big,” which paved the way for a nine-track studio album and collaborations with notable musicians. Her music doesn’t stop at entertainment; it tackles real-world issues like climate change and plastic pollution, giving children around the world a rhythm to rally behind.

For Shanariha, each lyric is a call to action, and each beat resonates with responsibility. As a young artist navigating a dynamic industry, Shanariha has embraced the challenges of building a meaningful presence while staying true to her values. Mentored by influential producers and artists such as Lavosti Stephen and Kimambo Beats, she has shaped her sound with depth and resilience. Her songs like “PRESSURE” ignite important conversations, proving that art can be both revolutionary and relatable. Balancing her school life with music, she commits weekends to climate action leading initiatives in conservation, mangrove planting, and ocean cleanups—demonstrating how passion and purpose can go hand in hand.

Through her organization, Young Warriors Club Kenya, Shanariha educates youth on sustainability and environmental action. From running climate literacy programs across dozens of schools to removing tons of plastic waste and planting hundreds of thousands of mangroves, her activism is as impactful as her music. With every effort, she shows that leadership knows no age.

Shanariha’s voice now echoes across international platforms. Her accolades include multiple national and global recognitions such as the Global Music Award, East Africa Music Award, and the International Green Note Award. A two-time Global Child Prodigy Award winner, her accomplishments have inspired countless young girls to pursue their dreams with confidence and conviction. These honors are not just acknowledgments—they are the foundation upon which she builds a brighter, more sustainable world.

With dreams of becoming an environmental scientist, an international music artist, and a published children’s author, Shanariha’s goals are vast yet focused. Her book “Ocean Warrior” introduces kids to the realities of marine conservation and empowers them to take action. She also aims to write more books centered on the Sustainable Development Goals, promoting youth inclusion in shaping policies and building solutions.

Receiving the Global Child Prodigy Award 2025 is a moment of great pride and reflection for Shanariha. The recognition affirms her efforts and encourages her to keep pushing boundaries. For her, this honor stands not just as a personal milestone, but as a testament to every young dreamer determined to bring about change in the world through creativity and compassion.
