At just 41 days old, Tony suffered horrific abuse that resulted in life-changing injuries and the amputation of both his legs. Doctors once feared for his survival, but Tony’s story took a transformative turn when he was adopted by Paula and Mark Hudgell. With their unconditional love and support, Tony not only survived—he thrived. Learning to walk on prosthetic legs, he achieved what many thought impossible, including walking 10 kilometers at the age of five and raising over £1.8 million for the hospital that saved his life.

Tony’s bravery sparked national change. His advocacy led to the introduction of “Tony’s Law,” increasing the maximum sentence for child cruelty in the UK from 10 years to life imprisonment. In 2021, Tony founded the Tony Hudgell Foundation, extending his compassion to other children who have experienced abuse or trauma. Tony’s dream of taking 100 people to Lapland for a once-in-a-lifetime holiday has already raised over £2 million, demonstrating how small acts of love can create enormous change.

Despite frequent surgeries, physiotherapy, and hospital visits, Tony’s spirit remains unbreakable.
