1 min read

Kedar Narayan is a 12-year-old entrepreneur. This child prodigy has already founded a company known as ‘Heart For Wildlife.’ He has always loved three things the most: Coding, Mathematics, and Problem Solving. This little boy has mastered these things at such a young age and making apps and websites using them.

In a recent exclusive interview with Global Child Prodigy, Kedar Narayan shares his views on the necessity of learning to code for kids. Here is what he says!

Should Every Kid Learn Coding?

Kedar says that in his opinion, all the kids don’t need to learn to code. But, anyone who aims to be an innovator must understand coding. Coding is not just about sitting down with a computer and hacking, as most people think of it. It is something that you should not learn just for its sake. You need to work with errors no matter what type of code you are doing. So, the people who code without any purpose might not find it so interesting.

“I ask myself several times why complicated codes always get simple errors, and the simplest codes get complicated ones.” – Kedar says.

How did Kedar Narayan get Into Coding & Mathematics?

Kedar’s mom is a computer scientist, so she used to help him with coding when he was younger. She even quit her job to teach Kedar as he was homeschooled. Kedar told us that his mom is his brainstorm partner.

He has always learned mathematics in a standard way since childhood. He was homeschooled because the area they were living in was not safe. His mom used to teach him at home, and she even brought CDs for him. Kedar was taught Vedic maths techniques, which are helpful to do maths quickly in your head. He believes in understanding what you learn and applying it. Kedar was not restricted to anything, so he loved everything he learned.

The short term goal of this young entrepreneur is to earn $10,000 for his business.
