The theory of this effect says, “whenever the light travels through a transparent material, some of the deflected light changes amplitude & wavelength“. Moreover, this discovery won him the Nobel Prize in 1930.
Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman (CV Raman) was an Indian physicist. He was popular for his work in the field of light scattering. With one of his students, KS Krishnan, he discovered the Raman effect, which was an amazing discovery.
