The international child actor, Ayaan Zubair Rahmani, recently had an exclusive interview with Global Child Prodigy under Prodigy Talks. The talk was hosted by Mr Kavin Kumar Kandasamy, a renowned Educationalist, Entrepreneur, and Humanitarian. He is also the Managing Director of Mangalam Educational Institutions. Mr Kavin’s institutions serve more than 7000 students every year.
In this candid talk with GCP, Ayaan Zubair Rahmani shares his experience of how he became a star.
I just turned thirteen on 12 August 2020, and I feel proud to be recognized at this such young age. My family and my fans play a massive role in what I am today.
My father, Mr. Zubair Rahmani, was also an artist in the Doordarshan channel, which later he left for my elder sister Jannat and me. I gave my first audition when I was only 6-months old and started professional acting when I was 4-years-old.
I am six years younger than my sister Jannat Zubair and our chemistry as brother-sister is too beautiful and loved by the public very much. My sister Jannat is the youngest to have the most Instagram followers in India. She is also an actress in TV Serials and Bollywood movies, and she started acting when she was just 7-years-old. Currently, I have more than 1 million followers on Instagram and counting every day.
I do enjoy acting a lot. Whenever we go to shoot, we have to work 12 hours, and the best part is we meet new people. There are more than 100 people on the set at a time & it is a great feeling for me, and I love it. I learned Horse-riding when I was shooting for the serial Jodha Akbar. There I met the popular Indian actor Salman Khan and also played cricket with him. Salman Khan was shooting for one of his movies at that time. It was one of my best memories ever.
I have done more than 12 shows, along with some movies. Most of the films done by me have been nominated for Oscar Awards. One such movie is Gully Boy. I’m a huge fan of King Khan, and I have also worked with him in an advertisement. I would love to act again with Shah Rukh Khan as his brother if I get a chance.
“I enjoy acting for the serials more because, in movies, they shoot for a fixed time, but I like to shoot for 12 hours or more. Also, I love to make new friends.” – Ayaan Zubair.
I’m an eighth-grader, student of Oxford Public School, Mumbai, and can manage his studies and act. There is a worksheet system in my school so, I go to school, get the worksheets, and study on set or at home.
I believe that “If a child likes to play cricket or to swim or anything else, then his/her parents should let their kid do that. There is no age to do such things.”
My parents always support me in everything I want to do. I play Cricket, Badminton, Swimming, etc. I am a Bronze medalist in Martial Arts, a District level player in Badminton, and I do swimming very well. I love to play online video games also. I play Fortnite but I’m not addicted to such games.
“It is not life, it is just a video game” – Zubair exclaimed
My parents appreciate me in everything, and that is such a great blessing. I never feel that I am missing something out.

I was too young when I started acting. I might be doing swimming if I was not in Acting, which I learned on my own without taking any training. I will follow my hobbies – martial arts, swimming, cricket, etc. part-time, along with Acting. My role model is Vidyut Jammwal because he is very good at all the things that I want to do in my life.
I feel delighted to receive the Global Child Prodigy Awards. It was one of the most meaningful award ceremonies I have ever attended. Every kid from the GCP Awards is awesome in their field. I saw someone doing Martial arts, someone doing painting, etc. They were just amazing on their own. It feels awesome that at a very young age, I have achieved such fame. Whenever I go outside, people recognize me even if I am wearing a mask. It is an amazing feeling.
Thank you for your time. It was great interviewing you, Ayaan. I’m looking forward to hearing feedback, and don’t hesitate to contact us in the meantime if you have any questions or concerns.
Life is short, and very few people can showcase their talent in front of this world.
