Facts About Cognitive Development Of Children

Children try to understand things and become more aware of their surroundings during their early years. This is the cognitive development of children, which plays an essential role in every child’s life. The early years of a kid’s life are a crucial period for his/her cognitive development. There are many important factors for the development of children’s causal explanatory systems. These factors are Knowledge through active experience, language, playing, and teaching. Sometimes children’s explanations reflect a general human tendency to seek information. Moreover, these explanations can show biases and appear to confirm one’s theories. Such illustrations should be recognized and worked with by their teachers.

5.Little Kids Learn New Words At An Exponential Rate.

Young children acquire 10+ words daily on average. Their median vocabulary is 55 words at 16 months and 225 words at 23 months. By the age of six, they learn around 6000 words. Moreover, the developmental range of a child can stretch from a vocabulary of 0 words to over 500 words at age two. 

6.Genetic differences influence cognitive development of children.

It is a well-known fact that genes influence the development of children. So, it becomes even more important to provide early learning environments to all children. They need optimal learning so that genetic differences and environmental factors don’t affect their development.
