“Dancers don’t need wings to fly.”
Good things come in small packages, and the tapping twins, Freddie and Teddie Tisdale, are a living testimonial to this phrase. Freddie and Teddie acquired global fame at a very young age, owing to their spectacular and versatile dance skills. They have appeared as guests on popular TV shows such as Little Big Shots, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and Despierta America. The dance prodigy duo has featured in various commercials and magazines, which has further boosted their popularity by introducing their talent to the masses.
After supplying the immense dedication and hard work their craft demands, the twins also have their fair share of fun. The twins opened up about their life together in an exclusive interview with Global Child Prodigy.
The tapping twins focus equally on their education and put it above everything else. They attend school together, which starts at 8 am and ends at 2 pm. They practice different dance styles after school. While most kids their age have just begun on their resume, Freddie and Teddie’s resume displays a long and impressive list of their accomplishments. Balancing school and practicing sometimes gets a bit difficult for the twins, but they understand the importance of hard work to excel in their field.
The tapping twins rightfully earn their name by dedicating more than 15 hours a week to dance practice. They have various dance styles such as ballet, jazz, hip hop, etc., under their belt due to their early start dancing. While working together is mostly fun for the twins, they also enter disagreements over dance moves sometimes. They keep switching activities until both of them like and agree on the movements. Their mom also intervenes sometimes and helps them patch up.
Freddie and Teddie may be twins, but there are some things both like to do differently. Both of them are interested in different activities, Teddie loves to skate, and Freddie loves riding his bike. Freddie is organized and likes to keep things clean, while Teddie just goes with the flow. According to their website, when the twins are not traveling for appearances or filming, they enjoy being average ten-year-old boys who love to play video games & baseball, swim, ride their bikes and play with friends!
The Global Child Prodigy is one of its kind organization that brings deserving children from all around the world into the spotlight. The GCPA celebrates child prodigies worldwide from various fields such as academics, painting, modeling, martial art, music, social work, etc.
Freddie and Teddie received the Global Child Prodigy Award in January 2020 for dance. They were also among the Top 100 Child Prodigies of the year. If you know someone close to you who deserves to be on the top 100 Child Prodigies list, make sure to click here.
