Erica says, “I picked the name DJ Switch because I switch up people’s happiness. I am not only a DJ but also a poet, dancer, motivational speaker, actress, and advocate. I also want my parents, teachers, CNN, BBC or France24 and the world to know that being a DJ is just the beginning of my goals, I want to become a gynecologist and help women around the world eventually.”
In June 2018, Erica won Ghana’s Annual DJ Award, and she was the youngest awardee. Roc nation, the legendary Jay-Z’s entertainment company, featured her on their social media for Black History Month.
She has given several international performances, such as one with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation’s annual Goalkeepers Event, held in New York and French President Macron.
Not just a multitalented child, Erica’s foundation is keen on supporting the underprivileged. She believes in gender equality, sustainable development, and providing regular and proper health care.
Owning two single debuts, “DECEIVER” and “PARDONNEZ,” Erica gave out her “five tips” for being a successful DJ during her interview with BBC. To all her fans, DJ Switch continually says, “Take your passion and make it your profession through hard work and dedication.”
