How Did Tara Ghahremani Become A Santoor Artist?

Tara Ghahremani, who recently went viral for her Santoor cover of the Indian national anthem, is a 12-years-old amazing Santoor artist from Tehran, Iran. She has been winning millions of people’s hearts through her unique talent of Santoor at such an early age. Tara spreads positivity all around her through her fantastic music.

In a candid talk with Global Child Prodigy, Tara talks about how she became a Santoor artist. Here is what she says:

Journey Of Tara Ghahremani Of Becoming A Santoor Artist

Tara told us that she has been learning music since she was just five. In Iran, the santoor is one of the most loved instruments, and both men & women like to play it. Her mom was a santoor artist at that time. So, she also got interested in learning it, and finally, she started playing Santoor at the age of eight. She even told us that she used to play a musical instrument called ‘Tonbak’ before it, which is a traditional Iran instrument.

Tara says that she is probably a better santoor artist than her mom. It is because she has been playing it for a long time now, but her mom had only played it for two years.

Tara’s Most Memorable Performance

Tara Ghahremani says that one of her best experiences was to play Santoor for a video composed by an excellent composer from Brazil. He played guitar in that video, and Tara played santoor. It was a very memorable performance for her, and she enjoyed it a lot. 

Future Aspirations Of Tara Ghahremani

The child prodigy, Tara, aspires to become an excellent Santoor player in the future as she loves it a lot. She even has a YouTube channel, ‘Tara Ghahremani,’ where she uploads her amazing videos. Tara works hard to achieve her goals, and it is for sure that she has a bright future.

Tara’s Experience At Global Child Prodigy Awards 2020

Tara Ghahremani received the Global Child Prodigy Award in January 2020 for her incredible musical talent. She was also recognized as one of the Top 100 child prodigies of the world. Tara went to Delhi, India, to receive the award, and she says that she enjoyed a lot there. It was a fascinating moment for her.
