How Did Viriya Rici Start Dancing?

At a very young age of 14-years, Viriya Rici has amazed everyone globally through his dancing skills. He is a dancing prodigy from Indonesia who appeared on Season 2 of Asia’s Got Talent at the age of 11 years and received lots of love from the audience. 

In a candid talk with Global Child Prodigy, Viriya Rici shares his dancing journey with us.

When Did He Start Dancing?

The young boy, Viriya, started dancing at the young age of 6 years. He loved listening to music since he was 3-years-old and used to move his body to the rhythm. As a child, he always enjoyed doing hand movements and other dance steps while listening to music. 

Viriya’s parents also play an important role in his success. They recognized that he had an amazing talent for dancing. Whenever he listened to Indonesian music or any other music, he used to move his hands and perform dance steps from an early age. He could do facial expressions, headstands, and dance movements. So his parents took him to a community so that the little boy can learn more about dance. He told us that his parents support him in all his dancing endeavors.

Dancing Styles Of Viriya Rici

In this interview, Viriya says that he has learned many dancing styles. So basically, he is a freestyle dancer. He can do breakdance, hip-hop, group dance, etc. the young boy enjoys performing multiple dance forms. Viriya also loves to follow Bollywood dance moves. Hip-hop and group dance are most popular in Indonesia, but he loves performing all types of dance forms.

Viriya Rici On Asia’s Got Talent

The young dancing sensation, Viriya, participated in Asia’s Got Talent Season 2, and people love him because of his dance moves. He told us that he got an opportunity to perform for Asia’s Got Talent Season 1, but he couldn’t make it big there. He failed in the Season1, but the little boy didn’t give up. He tried again. In the next season, he went to Malaysia and performed in the semi-finals.

He was a little anxious and nervous at first, but the audience’s love and support motivated him. It encouraged him a lot when he saw that the audience was cheering for him. He wanted to make them proud and show them some incredible dance moves. So, all that went very well.

Global Child Prodigy 2020 Awardee

In January 2020, Viriya Rici won the Global Child Prodigy Award for his incredible dancing skills. He was also one of the Top 100 child prodigies of the world. 

The Global Child Prodigy is the first organization of its kind that recognizes young talents from all over the world. The GCP awards list includes children having extreme competency in their field of interest such as painting, modeling, dancing, writing, etc.
