Karman Soni – The Young Boy Who Has Drum Beats On His Finger Tips

It is truly said that where words fail, music speaks. Proving this, the 14-year-old boy, Karman Soni, has achieved a lot through his musical talent. Coming from the Gujarat state of India, Karman is an exceptionally talented child who doesn’t only have deep music knowledge, but has made it to several world records. From developing an interest in music at a young age to facing various challenges, the young boy has already come so far in his life and lives with bigger dreams in his eyes. Early Life and Beginning of Interest in Music

Karman Kandarp Soni was born on April 21, 2007, in Ahmedabad of Gujarat state. His musical journey started when he was just 7-years-old. The little boy used to tap and beat perfectly every time he used to listen to a song. His parents recognized his talent and understood that their child can do great in the field of music. They encouraged Karman to learn Drums and that was when his official journey with drums started. 

Karman says that his parents play a huge role in whatever he is today as they are his biggest supporters. His parents have helped and understood him in every stage of life so far. Karman sometimes finds it difficult to manage his studies with music, but all this has become an easier task with the support of his parents and teachers. 

Karman’s Mentors and Inspiration

Karman Soni is not just a drummer, but also a young music composer. He says that he got inspired by Anika Nilles for drums and by Mr. A R Rahman for composing music. 

Along with his parents, all his mentors and gurus have also played a big role in his journey. He has learned drums from Mr. Janak Bhavsar, Mr. Chahat, Mr. Gino, and Mr. Vinayak Pol. Moreover, the little boy has also learned the keyboard from Mr. Aniket Khandrkar and

tabla from Mr. Chandraprakash. Other than this, the little musician has been under different mentors and gurus.

Achievements and Honors – Karman Soni

The list of milestones achieved by Karman Soni is very long, however, some most significant ones are mentioned below:

• Youngest Professional Music Composer: World Record from Harvard World Records on 14th February 2022.
• World Record for Playing Most No. Of Drum Beats in a Minute: played 2357 notes in a minute using Drum Sticks and became the fastest drummer in India on 20th December 2020.
• Youngest Drummer of India: from World Records India on 20th December 2020.
• Grand Finalist in DRUM OF GLOBAL 2019: Represented India in the International Drum Competition and became grand finalist.
• Completed all 8 grades of Trinity College of London Exams in Drums successfully and passed the 8th grade with 100/100 marks on 14th July 2021.
