It’s quite amazing to know about a scientist who showed how intelligent and smart he works at an early age. He sets an example of a child prodigy. Today we are talking about one and only Praveen Kumar Gorakavi. It would be exciting for you all to know about his notable works and the awards he received for his dedication. He is a chemical engineer, consultant, Indian scientist as well as inventor.

Surprising! Right? A person with so many designations is undoubtedly a prodigy. He is famous for his multi-disciplinary research. Let’s head on to learn about his achievements and works, which made him stand in the position of a successful life.

Praveen’s Extraordinary Inventions

He was born on 24th May 1989 in Hyderabad. One will obviously get astonished when he comes to know that at the age of 13, Praveen made the calendar for 20,000 years that is from 10000 BC to 10000 AD. He was able to do it because he identified 27 mathematical equations, which gave an idea of how an ideal calendar should be based. Later on, this calendar extended to 40000 years and later was transformed into Braille script. For knee and ankle movement, he designed an artificial leg that too of low cost. Many times we have seen a pen producing about ten colors at a time. But what if it produced 256 colors? Is it surprising or shocking?

You may be thinking that it might not be possible for a pen to produce as many as 256 colors. But it was made possible by Praveen as he developed a pen that could do this easily. The concept which he used for developing that particular pen could be utilized for face foundation, nail paint, or any other cosmetics. His journey continued and his interest and his smart works are now recognized by the people. For baby diapers, sanitary pads and, detergent powder, he worked on fragrance encapsulation technology. Segregation of packaging materials was made easy, and the productivity was also enhanced because of a holographic ink developed by him.

A Genius | Praveen Kumar Gayakavi

It’s very hectic to iron a suit before you want to wear it on occasion. But this was later easy because of Praveen Kumar Gorakavi. We are saying this because he was able to make a wrinkle-free composite suit fabric that is efficiently useful for apparel. Other products from his stable include dosa premix formulation in a can. The list is long as it also includes a water purification device, an orthopedic catheter for spinal restoration, and a liquid jetting mechanism for an electric toothbrush. He started as a child Prodigy and commercialized about 28 technologies in partnership with many companies, including Fortune, government agencies, and scientific institutions.

The Phi factory is an initiative with the motive of developing one social innovation for every three commercial technologies it develops. It is a socially conscious R&I initiative. We are saying so because now it will be coming up with bioplastic materials. All of us know very well that Praveen Kumar is a former child prodigy and also a serial inventor. From a young age, interested in developing socially conscious technologies Praveen Kumar did wonders. This interest now made him a partner at this factory, and now it is leading to a successful path.

Awards and Honours

Scientist Praveen studied at Osmania University and pursued chemical engineering but later on, he dropped out of the Ph.D. program. He was pursuing this at the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology to go ahead and pursue innovations at The Phi Factory. His field of work includes chemical engineering, physics, mathematics, chemistry and, optical engineering. The list of awards and honors it’s quite long.
