There are no limits to how high determination can take you. At an age when most children are only beginning to explore the world around them, Prisha Lokesh Nikajoo has already walked among the clouds. Her remarkable journey to the Mount Everest Base Camp shows us what is possible when courage meets preparation.
A resident of Thane, Maharashtra, Prisha’s love for trekking began early, inspired by her father, who is also a mountaineer. With his guidance, she nurtured the dream of climbing mountains and worked tirelessly to prepare for her adventure. Daily walks of nearly ten kilometers, aerobics sessions, and practice climbs on local walls became her training ground. These small, consistent steps built the strength and endurance she would need for the journey ahead.

In May 2023, Prisha set out to trek to the Everest Base Camp in Nepal, one of the most challenging trails in the world. Through changing weather, high altitudes, and rugged terrain, she walked with persistence and a smile, reaching the base camp in early June. Standing at 5,364 meters, she not only proved her own resilience but also reminded the world that age is no barrier to big dreams.
This was not her first climb. Earlier, she had successfully reached the summit of Kalsubai, the highest peak in Maharashtra. Each ascent added to her confidence and prepared her to take on greater challenges.
Prisha’s journey teaches us that preparation, discipline, and support from family can empower even the youngest among us to achieve extraordinary goals. At GCPA, we proudly celebrate Prisha Lokesh Nikajoo—a young mountaineer whose steps on the world’s tallest mountain remind us that every peak, no matter how high, can be reached with determination.
