Shruti Ghosh is a young innovator whose passion for entrepreneurship and social impact shines through every initiative she undertakes. With a strong belief in creating opportunities for others, she has been working tirelessly to bridge gaps in society through meaningful platforms that empower both individuals and communities.
Her initiative, EmpowHer, is a unique platform that connects homemaker entrepreneurs with young talent, creating a mutually supportive ecosystem. By bringing together fresh ideas and modern skills from the youth with the experience and perseverance of homemakers, Shruti has built a model that fosters collaboration, growth, and empowerment. In just a short span of time, EmpowHer has touched the lives of more than 50 homemakers and young changemakers, enabling financial independence for women and giving young people practical exposure to real-world challenges. Shruti’s vision and dedication led her to present this project at the Trailblazer Fellowship, where she shared her ideas with leading experts from industry and academia.
Her innovative spirit goes beyond entrepreneurship. She is currently working on India’s first accessible apparel line designed for teenagers managing Type 1 diabetes. Combining style with functionality, this initiative addresses a real need while ensuring inclusivity and confidence for those who wear it. For this impactful idea, Shruti was recognized with the Student Internship Program by Atal Innovation Mission & NITI Aayog, showcasing her ability to merge creativity with social responsibility.
In addition, Shruti has created the Youth Summit, a platform that encourages students to share their perspectives on pressing social issues. This initiative not only nurtures critical thinking but also builds leadership skills among young participants, preparing them to face future challenges with confidence. Her academic pursuits further reflect her commitment to knowledge and innovation, with research work like her paper on “Satellites for Global Warming” and efforts to make politics more accessible to teenagers through digital platforms.
At the heart of all her efforts lies her vision—sapno ki pehchan, which means “recognizing dreams, empowering the future.” Shruti’s journey is a true testament to the power of determination, creativity, and empathy, showing how one individual’s ideas can inspire and transform many lives.
