A little girl named Tara Ghahremani started making songs when she was only four years old. She lived in the middle of Tehran, Iran. But not with huge bands or stages. Instead, the Orff method uses simple instruments like bells and a flute to make music. From these simple beginnings, Tara’s love of music grew, and her mother’s musical interests influenced her to learn the Tonbak and Santoor.
Tara’s life has been a beautiful piece of commitment and hard work. While her friends played outside, Tara enjoyed playing her Santoor and Tonbak. She didn’t just do this for fun; it was her calling. Tara’s parents were the foundational pillars of her journey; they taught her to believe in herself and have a deep appreciation for the gift of music.
Tara’s journey is marked by milestones that speak volumes of her talent. From being a finalist in Iran’s prestigious music festivals to collaborating with international artists and bands, her résumé is impressive. She was also a finalist in Iran’s 12th Young Music Country Festival. Her work with Rafael Milhomem, the Maati Baani band, and her participation in international events have not only showcased her talent but also brought Iranian music to a global audience.
Tara has an effect on people outside the stage. She has become a culture ambassador by working with musicians from different backgrounds. She uses her music to promote peace and understanding. Her success has inspired a new crop of young musicians, showing that passion and hard work can break down barriers and make music truly a language for everyone.
It was her unwavering dedication that led Tara to the Global Child Prodigy Awards in 2020. The GCP Awards, which are known around the world for honouring outstanding young talent, gave Tara a chance like no other. Here, stars from many areas get together to share their skills and give each other ideas. Tara’s success in music, especially with the Santoor, not only made her famous, but it also brought attention to Iran’s rich cultural history.
As we celebrate the remarkable journey of Tara Ghahermani, we also look forward to the next chapter of the Global Child Prodigy Awards. This platform continues to discover and nurture young talents from around the globe, offering them a stage to shine and inspire.
