Miguel Secillano, the 10-year-old kid, has caught people worldwide because of intelligence and math skills. He can solve very complex math problems at such a young age. He explains the solution to any problem like he has years of experience with mathematics. Children are generally busy playing video games and doing school homework, but Miguel is busy achieving fame and success. 

How Miguel’s Parents Came To Know About His Exceptional Skills?

Miguel was born on December 5, 2009. He has lived in Ocala with his family since 2014. He is a student of Dr. N.H. Jones Elementary School at Ocala. At the young age of two, Miguel used to stack and count his Play-Doh. His parents, Imee and Philip, noted it. His father, Philip, introduced him to mathematics, starting with addition, and Miguel wanted more.

By the age of 4, he was solving complex math problems. Philip says, “I didn’t know what to give him next, so we bought a math curriculum and just let him do it.” Miguel’s confidence and skills with numbers proliferated. He spends a lot of time practicing his math. Miguel also likes working with a coding language computer program.

When Miguel turned 7, his parents wanted him to explore his talents. So, they submitted his three videos to the NBC television show Little Big Shots, to appreciate his abilities. He was chosen to appear on Little Big Shots. Miguel was not a little bit nervous about exhibiting his math skills in front of an audience. He says, “It was fantastic! I got to meet new friends who were equally talented. It was really an unforgettable experience.”

The child prodigy Miguel also appeared in an episode of ABC game show Child Support. He has amazed millions of people worldwide with his exceptional math skills at such a young age. Miguel wants to be an aerospace engineer who builds rockets and satellites that go up into space.

The Global Child Prodigy Awards is here to recognize talents from various countries and backgrounds, having extreme competency in their field of interest such as painting, modeling, writing, entrepreneurship, martial art, music, social work, etc.
