The Global Child Prodigy Awardee Went Viral For Kamala Harris Portrait | Tyler Gordon

Tyler Gordon, a young artist from California, went viral on Twitter after uploading a video while making a portrait of Kamala Harris. The video got attention from Vice President-elect Kamala Harris, and she called Tyler after that. It was a dream come true for Gordon when he received a call from Vice President-elect Kamala Harris.

Tyler Gordon Received Call From Kamala Harris

Tyler recently shared a video of himself painting the portrait on Twitter and asked his followers to help Kamala see it. The tweet was posted on Sunday and had gained more than 19K retweets and over 75K likes. So, the post reached Harris, and she loved it. She called Gordon on Friday to thank him for the beautiful portrait.

“I’m overwhelmed with just the magnificence of your artistry. You really have a gift, my goodness, such a gift. I was so touched to see it,” Kamala said on the phone call.

The young artist was astonished to hear back from Harris. Tyler Gordon says that he chose Kamala Harris as his latest subject because she inspires him to overcome a few of his obstacles. 

“She broke through tons of barriers and I broke through tons of barriers myself with my stutter, me being in a wheelchair for two years and me being deaf since I was six,” he said.

Who Is Tyler Gordon?

Tyler Gordon is a 14-year-old artist from the San Francisco Bay Area, California. He was born and raised in San Jose. The art prodigy developed an interest in painting at a very young age. At such a young age, he has caught millions of people’s attention through his excellent artistic skills.

Tyler has already painted more than 60 celebrities, including Barack Obama, Jay-Z, Beyonce, the Beatles, Jennifer Lopez, Alex Rodriguez, and many more. In July 2018, he appeared on Steve Harvey’s show, “Little Big Shots.” He participated in San Jose’s Juneteenth celebration at Plaza de Cesar Chavez. He painted live for several hours and sold more than 40 paintings that day. Tyler has also won several awards for his incredible artworks.
