“There are no rules for good photographs, there are only good photographs.”
Ansel Adams
A picture can speak a thousand words. World Photography Day is an event for photographers, over the globe to share their talent. It requires no professional cameras, just a photo with a simple purpose.
At the age of ten, he was awarded the 2018 Wildlife Photographer of the Year for his photograph ‘Pipe Owls’, two-spotted owlets nested inside a pipe. Britain’s prestigious Natural History Museum organizes the contest.
Arshdeep first began to show his talent at the age of six. He has won the Junior Asian Wildlife Photographer of the Year and the Young Comedy Wildlife of the Year award, both of which are some of the world’s top wildlife awards. Several of his works have been published in Lonely Planet UK, Lonely Planet Germany, Lonely Planet India, BBC Wildlife UK, etc. He has been featured in renowned newspapers like Indian Express, India Today, and Times Now. Earlier in 2020, the Global Child prodigy Awarded recognized Arshdeep’s incomparable talent. He is one of the Top 100 Child Prodigies in the world as well.
Passionate about bird photography, Arshdeep says, “I still recall the moment when I spotted a greater coucal who was on the ground, bird was very quiet and calm. Whenever, I travel to Kapurthala I often see this bird almost on weekend trips. It’s obvious incessant call, red eyes, copper brown wings on a black body cannot be missed. My best sighting of this was when I got to watch it foraging on the ground from just a few meters away.”
This little boy has broken all stereotypes that say that with age comes experience. Arshdeep feels that anybody can practice photography as long as they are patient. He also appeals to all parents to allow their kids to follow their dreams.
This Photography Day, let us appreciate this prodigy’s talent and skill that is taking him heights.
