The Tragic Life of a Former Prodigy: Robert Peace

Nothing is fixed in life. Sometimes life seems good, but at another moment, it may be worse. The same happens with the talented person, Robert Peace ’s, whose life ends in a tragic way that no one had thought.

The African- American brilliant and talented prodigy named Robert DeShaun Peace was born on 25 June 1980. Robert was born to Jackie Peace and Robert Douglas. He lived in East Orange, New Jersey, which shares a border with Newark. In his place, 30% of people below the poverty line. He had seen difficulties during his childhood. Robert’s parents were not together. His father sold drugs. He lived with her mother and mother’s family, but his father is also involved in his life.

Struggle and the talented “Rob”:

 Robert was nicknamed “ Rob.” Rob lived in Poverty. His mother worked long hours at the low-paying job for survival. He went to St Benedict’s Prep, a private middle, and high school, because of his low-income family condition. Rob lived in poor conditions. Even then, he was like a shining star and scored 99% on his SATs. He was a multitalented person.

 Along with the study, he was doing a part-time job, also became a varsity water polo player. Rob is a tutor for his friends, supported his mother. But he dealt with drugs too, and it may be the reason behind his tragic end. 

His father got arrested in charge of murder and sent to prison when Robert was seven years old. Robert often goes to visit his father in prison until his father’s death. At that time, Robert was in his mid 20’s. 

Yale University and Career:

After completion of high school, a bank executive Charles Cawley sponsored Robert. He went to Yale University. There Rob studied molecular biophysics and biochemistry. Also, he worked in cancer and infection disease laboratory. In the university, he has connected to drugs too. Rob earns over 100000$ by selling Marijuana. In 2002, Robert Peace completed his graduation, according to his roommate Jeff Hobbs.

Robert taught biology for four years at the Catholic High School after completion of graduation. He attended that school to expand his alcohol and drug marketing also. Then, along with working for major airlines, Rob also traveled to international Drug Centers such as Amsterdam. He was the runner-up of the Dayton Literary Peace Prize 2015.

The end of life of Robert Peace is so tragic. He had seen Poverty in his childhood, But the step in the drug business results in his tragic end. On 18 May 2011, Rob was found dead by a gunshot wound. He was surrounded by cash and Twenty-five pounds of Marijuana.
