At his first-ever Olympic games, Vito Dell’Aquila’s golden victory has amazed spectators around the globe. We applaud his spectacular young talent and passion for the sport.
Born in 2000, in Italy, Dell’Aquila is an up-and-coming Italian taekwondo athlete. He began training as a young child and has since then won several bronze and gold medals in international competitions.
He won the World Cadet Championships in 2014, European Junior Championships in 2015 and 2017, the European junior championship in 2017, and the Moscow Grand Prix in 2019. By winning gold in the 58kg category in taekwondo at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Dell’Aquila has made his place in history.
Furthermore, his victory secured Italy its first gold in the tournament! It is safe to say that the 20-year old is on his way to more glory in his field.
