At the young age of 7, Te’Lario Watkins II developed a passion for mushroom farming and started his mushroom farm called the ‘Tiger Mushroom Farms.’ It began when he enjoyed growing cat grass and basil during his first cub scout meeting and wanted to keep increasing something during the cold winters.
With research, he knew that mushrooms are the most suitable to grow in a cold environment. Thus, he started his mushroom farming journey. Shiitake is his favorite mushroom type, and he grows Shiitake and Oyster mushrooms on his farms. His favorite delicious mushroom recipes are also available on his website.

Other Initiatives Taken By Te’Lario Watkins II
Te’Lario’s aim is reducing food wastage and ending hunger. He believes that no one should have to go hungry when there is so much food. His main goal is to inspire and help people grow healthy food.
To put an end to food waste, he has partnered with two organizations, ‘Food Rescue US’ and ‘No Kid Hungry.’ He volunteered with ‘Food Rescue US’ by collecting unsold food from various restaurants and donating it to local food banks. Te’Lario is a hunger hero with the national organization ‘No Kid Hungry’ and hosts a Friendsgiving every year to fundraise. His motive is to spread awareness to end food insecurity and hunger, and he is working very hard for this. Te’Lario aims to become the President of the United States someday.
